My festival survival kit

Hey my lovely readers, sorry I've been out of the blogisphere for a while I went off to latitude then had a heap of work to catch up on when I returned so here we go! My make up bag/ sack ha of products which enabled me to survive the festival season and look like I'd got not been in a tent for 4 days!

So first up!! Skincare folks!! Obviously face wipes to start things off!

Then I opted for a Benefit mini skincare set for £10 with a miniature bottle of all the essentials....

  • Foamingly clean- a lovely foaming face wash which you can use with face wipes as running water wasn't readily available and left me feeling wide awake and refreshed every morning!
  • Refined Finish- a clay bead exfoliator which is really gentle and great for scrubbing that festval mud away!
  • Moisture Prep- A toning lotion for all over the face with aloe vera which really helps soothe the old sun burn and helps keep you the moisture locked in
  • Triple Performing Moisturiser- A light moisturiser, perfect as a day cream as it's oil-free so helps keep your make up in place and has an spf15pa++ so gives a nice level of protection
  • Total Moisture- A really thick rich yet non greasy moisturiser perfect for a hydra boost or just a lovely hydrating night cream
  • It's Potent- A fabulous eye cream, helps prep under the eye for all the concealer I had to use from partying hard and helps combat the dark circles too
&

Boo Boo Zap- Not included in the kit but a bare essential as after living on burgers, beer and ice cream I needed something to dry the horrible lurking guity party spots and after loving it years ago I was delighted when Benefit re-released this. £13.50

MAKE UP!!!!!

Then on the make up side of things palettes come in handy at times like this and the limited edition Laura Mercier Lingerie Palette was perfect!!! Gorgeous high pigment blushers perfect for summer and my two favourite shades of eye shadow for a nice nude eye, Buff Pearl for all over the eye and Tawny Apricot for along the socket line to make the eyes stand out! Love it!! Really brightens up tired eyes and I love a nice nudey tone when I'm feeling a little indecisive. What a lush gift to receive!!

BASE

I also got together as many minis as possible of my favourite bits! Last month Glamour teamed up with Benefit and gave away either a mini Porefessional, That Gal or Bad Gal mascara so I bought 2 to get the 2 primers. I love the Porefessional, perfect for when your skin looks all uneven and blotchy as I find it to be quite correctional as well as pore minimising and I mix it with That Gal so it's mattifying and also brightening, it works wonders as a mix!

FOUNDATION

The kind ladies at Estee Lauder gave me a nice little pot of one of my all time favourite foundations Double Wear and I also have a sample size of Benefit's long awaited liquid foundation Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow in Honey, I love the coverage and long lasting advantages of Double Wear but after using the HFOW for a couple of weeks I saw real benefits as a day to day foundation, it has an SPF25pa+++ which I believe is on par with a Dior foundation as the highest level of SPF in a liquid foundation on the market which appeals to me as I'm super fair and sensitive. It's also anti-aging, purifying, oil-free and mineral based so it's doing some good for the skin too. I find it also gives a really healthy dewey radiance....so again I mix them together. It just adds a bit of brightness to the Double Wear and the Double Wear increases coverage for the HFOW. Perfect :)

EXTRAS

  • Magic Ink- Benefits liquid liner, in my opinion- altthough it isn't my favourite type of wand for a liquid liner which really is my can't live without item to make my eyes stand out- it has the best staying power out of a lot I have tried and also looks glossy which is a nice touch. £14, Benefit
  • Eyedew Dazzling Drops- Fab eyedrops by dry and tired party eyes and make your whites super white!! Just what every girl needs after 2 hours sleep! About £4, Boots
  • Chubby Stick- Clinique's iconic moisturising lip balm crayon, recently the collection has grown with a new multitude for colours, I opted for 'chunky cherry' the perfect balance between pink and red and enough pigment to look like a lipstick but the perfect benefits of a lip balm. The only problem with these is I want them all!! £16, Clinique
And obviously..TRES IMPORTANT! Dry shampoo, hair spray, 1,000,000 kirby grips and cool hair accessories because your hair will feel disgusting!!!!

Happy festival season ladies and gents! After that being my 3rd this year I feel I've fine tuned what to take to look the best you can in a field!

Holly XOXO
